MWP Playground update - It is still going to be a few more days before we can open the playground at Moss-Wright. It looks complete, but it isn't yet, so please keep off of the equipment for the safety of your children. We should have an update by the end of week of March 30 as to the status of completion and will share when we have a better idea of the date.

The much anticipated opening of the playground at Moss-Wright Park is drawing closer.  Pending any unanticipated factors, it should open towards the middle of the week of March 30.  An announcement will be made on the Goodlettsville Parks facebook page and gvilleparks Twitter as well as through the Notify Me system.  If you are wanting to receive notification, please follow one of these media choices. The playground is closed to all use until the announced opening.  There is a playground at Peay Park, 200 Memorial Drive, that can be used during this time of closure.

Creating Community through People, Parks, and Programs is what drives Goodlettsville Parks, Recreation, and Tourism.  The department is comprised of four divisions that work each day to create unique experiences for the users of the park system.

Maintaining green space, athletic fields, and playgrounds for the safety and enjoyment of people are the main priorities for this division.

Development, administration, and implementation of public recreation programs, community events, and leisure services are the focus of the Recreation division.

Creating opportunities for visitors is the primary goal of this division.  Many educational options are available through the historic site and athletic opportunities available through tournaments for various sports.

Provides the overall management and supervision for all functions within the department.  This division creates marketing initiatives, promotes advocacy for parks, and is the first point of contact for citizens, participants, and visitors.
