Social Distancing in Parks

Pleasant Green Walking Trail

Access to local parks is important to our residents for the maintenance of their physical and mental health; however, we encourage all residents to assist in the safe use of our parks so that they can remain open.

  • Practice Social Distancing: Park users must follow social distancing guidelines as defined by the CDC. Remain 6-ft away from others.
  • Avoid Group Gatherings: Group gathering is discouraged and against the park rules. Go alone or only with members of your immediate household. As tempting as it is to meet friends and extended family, it is important to remain physically distanced from those who live outside your home. Groups larger than five people are not permitted inside any City park. Families with more than 5 immediate family members are permitted as long as social distancing recommendations are followed.
  • Prepare for Closed Amenities & Restricted Areas: All amenities within the park are closed to park users. This includes ball fields, courts, playgrounds, picnic shelters, the dog park, restrooms, and water fountains. Certain roadways and parking lots will remain closed at this time. A detailed map of road and amenity closures can be found here
  • Reduce your frequency and length of visits: If possible, use your neighborhood sidewalks instead and maintain at least 6-ft of distance between yourself and others. If the park is crowded, go to a different park.
