A 23-year resident of the City of Goodlettsville, John Finch has served as a city commissioner since October 2004. He has served on the Planning and Zoning Board, and on the Industrial Development Board.
Finch is owner of a prominent regional commercial building firm, PBG Builders, Inc., based in Goodlettsville. Some of their notable projects include the Tennessee Titans Practice Facility (and, the foundations for the stadium), the new Fire Hall for the City of Goodlettsville, Baptist Hospital's 20th Avenue Medical Office Building, the new Antioch High School, the new Library at East Tennessee State University, and the restoration of the Governor's Residence.
Finch has served on the board of directors for the Goodlettsville Area Chamber of Commerce. He has served as a trustee and as chair of the finance committee and administrative board at his church, Connell Memorial United Methodist Church. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trust for Martin Methodist College; he also serves on their Academic & Policy Committee and Long Range Planning Committee. He is currently VP of administration as well as on the executive board for the Middle Tennessee Council, Boy Scouts of America. In addition, he serves on the Southern Region Board for the Boy Scouts of America. Having served for many years on the executive board of the Associated General Contractors of Tennessee, he has been elected president of this statewide organization for the 2006-2007 term.
Finch and his wife Pam have three children; Bryan, Ashley, & Jordan.
