Household Waste Disposal
Household Waste Chart*

Wastes from the home can be reduced by simply reducing the amount needed.  Before buying a product read labels and make sure the product performs as needed.  Once a product is purchased, the owner is then responsible for proper disposal.  Buy only the amount needed.  Read and follow the manufacturer's instruction for proper usage and disposal.  Use environmentally friendlier products when available.

Recycling is a good way to reduce left over waste.  The City of Goodlettsville offers recycling for its residents Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.   There are various locations throughout Davidson County for those residents and Sumner County residents can utilize the Sumner County Resource Authority ((615) 452-1114) and take advantage of TDEC's Household Hazardous Waste days.
