FOUR SEASONS PHOTO CONTEST RULES


1.  The Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation's Four Seasons Photo Contest is open to amateur photographers of any age.  Photos must have been taken in a Goodlettsville park or on city-owned property during the months listed for each deadline.  All entries for seasons must be received or postmarked by:

February 24-Winter Contest

December, January, and February

May 24-Spring Contest

March, April, and May

August 24-Summer Contest

June, July, and August

November 24-Fall Contest

September, October, and November


Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation will not be responsible for lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, or illegeble submissions.

2.  One prize will be awarded per each category.  Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation will be awarding the prizes.  

3.  Photos should capture Goodlettsville during the spring, summer, fall, and winter of the contest year, and will be judged in the following categories:

Best Overall best overall!
Landscape a view or vista of the parks natural scenery
Human Interest person, people, or groups active in the parks
Hidden Treasure that special nook that might be overlooked
Structures any vantage point that includes statues, bridges, or buildings


4.  Submissions become the property of Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation and will not be returned.  The department may use such photos for an unlimited amount of time for such uses including, but not limited to, advertisements, merchandise/commercial products, Parks and Recreation publications, or website.  Any photography reproduced will include a photographer credit.  All photographs will be displayed at Goodlettsville City Hall.

5.  Entry photos must be no larger than 5"x7".  Prints must be on photographic quality paper.  Winners must provide an original negative of their image for reproduction before prizes are presented (negatives will be returned).  Digital images must be in .jpg or .tif format and must be a minimum of 300 dpi.

6.  Entrants may submit up to three images per season.  An entry form must be submitted with each photo.

7.  All photos must be labeled on the back with the photographer's name, phone number, and email address (if available), and the location where the photograph was taken.  Please do not write directly on the photo.

8.  A panel selected by Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation will judge photos.  Contestants agree to all the rules and regulations set forth and by the decisions by the judges.  Judges decisions are final and no communication will be entered into.  Winners will be notified within 60 days of the season deadline and the winning image will be posted  on the City of Goodlettsville website.
