Moss-Wright Park is a 147-acre park located on Caldwell Road featuring a two-mile cinder trail for walking or jogging, an exercise warm-up center at the beginning of the trail, three shelters for rent, picnic tables, a large playground, two football fields, six baseball/softball fields, six baseball/softball practice fields, fifteen soccer fields, a lighted sand volleyball court, and historic Mansker's Station which includes Mansker's Fort and the historic Bowen Plantation.
Shelter Reservations
Moss-Wright shelter reservations may be made online or at the Delmas Long Community Center either in person or by calling 615.851.2253. Reservations may be made one year in advance. An hourly fee is charged. [rental information]
Historic Mansker's Station
The City of Goodlettsville has two historical sites located in Moss-Wright Park on Caldwell Road. Mansker's Fort and the Bowen Plantation are the two sites called Historic Mansker's Station Frontier Life Center. After viewing a video in the Visitors Center, you continue your tour by visiting both sites and seeing costumed interpreters at work.
The historic sites are open Tuesday through Saturday, through December. Admission to the sites is $6 for adults and $5 for Senior/AAA Members, $4 for children, Ages 6 and under are free. Admission for scheduled groups of 20 or more is $3 for adults and $2 for students.
To receive group rates reservations must be made in advance by calling 615.859.3678 Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
